Something a little bit different, thought I would show you my recent build.

Components:

  • AMD Athlon 760K
  • Gigabyte F2A88XN-WIFI AMD A88X
  • Powercolor R9 270
  • Geil Black Dragon 16GB 1600MHz
  • Zalman Reserator 3 MAX
  • Coolermaster V450S Power Supply
  • 60GB OCZ, 240GB Crucial SSD's
  • Corsair SP120 fan
I've been running this setup for a month or so and I'm pretty pleased with it so far. Building in it was a little bit of a bear, but it's an ITX case so it was not unexpected. Also temperatures have been pretty good considering the lack of fans and space inside the case. The only real change to the case is that I removed the HDD cage to make room for the AIO.

Some of the negatives are that the reserator fan is a little loud, dust will become a problem over time and the 200mm max graphics card length is more like 190mm. Which I found out to my cost, having had to cut off a bit of the cards plastic shroud.

Let me know what you think and suggest any ideas of how I could improve it.

Anyway here's some photos:

My brain does not comprehend this case :D It does look quite cool though. The inside does not matter, as there is no window. Good job, for building in such a different case!

That's a pretty nice system.

How are your temps with the Zalman Reserator? I haven't seen many of those in builds.

The temperatures are pretty good considering I have the reserator fan and the corsair fan at pretty much their slowest setting. Highest temperature I've seen so far is about 70 degrees. It's also the main way for the graphics card heat to escape also, so I think it does well.
