XFX Terrible RMA service

7/6/08- Requested support for faulty 780i Motherboard

11/06/08 - Reply telling me to send back to the reseller

11/06/08 - Reply saying shop is closed , brought in closing down sale

13/06/08 - Reply Check the motherboard etc for shortages

14/06/08 - Reply saying motherboard is deaded does not work

17/06/08 - Reply DOA Send back to Reseller

23/06/08 - Reply Reseller should replace the board, XFX does not replace mobos

23/06/08 - Spoken to Matt at XFX and arrange for something to be arranged

27/06/08 - Agreed Replacement of Motherboard

4/07/08 - Motherboard received and tech looking at it

22/07/08 - STILL looking at my motherboard!

WTF is going on? 2 months for a replacement , I send another email on the 25/07/08 to see how it was going and now reply from then. Terrible or what?

Extremely unhappy with XFX, i have so many products of XFX its unreal.

What can i do ?
 
This is the oposite experience my bro went through. He RMAed his 7800GT in America, and then moved to the UK, and XFX in the UK sent him a new 8600GTS.

Chase them up and hassle them.
 
The warranty in the US is alot diff than the UK. Over here he have the double lifetime warranty but over there you guys dont. The other forums i go to is the home of the American XFX tech support and we alot of problems with UKers complaining to us.
 
Well,

After a phone call to Matt in XFX, Suddenly they have tested the motherboard and its faulty ( Taken 1 month to do so ) . Awaiting on stock to arrive to send the new motherboard.

So i guess its another 1 month wait!

Damn man im sorry to hear bout ur situation!

ive never experienced satisfactory warrenty/return only in costco :D

it took me 1year 3months to try and sort a return or repair of a computer i bought from mesh computers and this didnt give a crap until i sent a court case date :p

but keep us up to date :)
