Xbox One Wireless adapter for PCs will come out next week

I use my 360 wireless for driving games until I buy a wheel and pedals. Wireless is the way to go if you can but battery life sucks. At least the XBone is rechargeable.

If you buy the rechargeable battery pack, same as the 360 wireless pad. It's not like the PS controllers unfortunately.

iirc the 360 controller adapter allowed up to 4, but you'd only be able to use them in turn based games as most pc games don't do split screen.

It's not wired, its a standard XB1 controller with a detachable USB cable. Exactly the same one I have. So if you want to upgrade to the wireless adapter in the future you still can.

Ooo that's cool. Yeah, I did notice it said "Controller with cable".

I may as well get the adapter then. Recently I bought a wireless mouse and I've been using that both wired and wireless to suit my moods :)

bought my xbox one controller about 6 months ago haven't used it lol, keep using my wireless 360 one as couldn't be bothered to keep plugging the cable in and out.

the adaptor looks like it will stick out the back of my pc quite a bit which would be an issue for me.

I see a few people have commented on running this internal how would I do this?

thanks Baz

With something like this ( there are also USB2.0 versions.)

Another question. So I have bought a Xbone controller wired. That means it's basically a wireless controller with a cable I can plug in to make it wired.

Does that mean if I put rechargeable batteries in it they would charge when I run it wired? or it is monopolised only to use MS's battery pack thing?

"Rechargeable (LR6) AA batteries do not charge while in the Xbox One Wireless Controller. Only the Xbox One battery that comes with the Play & Charge Kit can charge while in the controller. Recharge standard AA batteries by the method recommended by the manufacturer."

From the Xbox controller site

Tossers I kinda had a feeling they would do that !

Ah well, will just buy a set of rechargeables with the charger then.

Thanks for the reply btw, saves me ending up with something that won't work.

I was going to pick up a 3rd party play and charge kit, available for a good 3rd party kit for £10. Official one is £20
