Xbox Durango to get 7790?

At least the PS4 is basically using something between a 7850 and 7870, I guess you could call it a 7860. A 7800 is a respectful card but 7700 lol.. Kicking dirt on the fact it's always online.

Yup I wouldn't go near anything that doesn't have any media and requires an always on connection.

It'll be even more of a kick in the teeth if they charge for their online like they do now.

A console that you have to pay a monthly fee AND a internet sub just to use?

pahahaha fork right off.

The only thing that bothers me (will never buy a console) is that in a year console games will start holding back PC games again. Not cool. Not to mention all sorts of shoddy ports of games that could otherwise be more than decent.

Well, along with all the other rumors i cant wait to see what kind of device ms puts up on the 21st. I dont think they have anything on the ps4

To be honest, Consoles have always been quite underpowered compared to PC gaming systems.

The only thing that interests me about the next generation of consoles, since I'll never buy one is the fact they're all going be x86 and powered by an AMD APU.

Its been "officially" announced that the next gen xbox will not require an always on internet connection. As for anything that says "xbox 720" is probably false as i doubt they will call the next gen xbox that as the original xbox before the 360 was not called the 180. As for the xbox getting a graphics card of this power, it seems probable. I dont know if i will personally get one or whether i will just get a gpu for my pc for the same price.

its called xbox infinity man ign did a thing on it a few days ago

Am I right in thinking that the fact that they can bare metal program means that they can squeeze a lot more out of the gpu even if it is to be a 7790? thus it wouldn't perform like a normal 7790.

I remember seeing an alleged e-mail sent by Microsoft. I don't think it's 100% confirmed yet though.

They will optimize their code for the consoles so it can keep up Pcs but eventually Pcs will take a lead that the consoles can't catch up too.

Not really bothered about the hardware that's in it to be honest, as I will be buying one but simply for the newer Halo games and that is it, which is why I will probably buy one second hand.

I personally will be getting a PS4 in the hope that it'll mean better PC ports should it become successful. That and the games on it tend to appeal to me more, well the exclusives at least.

In the grand scheme of things, I do hope the new unannounced xbox has the equivalent to the ps4... lowest common denominator tends to simply drag all involved down to its level, unless the higher spec'd console wins out. Lets hope so in this case, don't want another five years of scraps for the PC.

No one even knows for sure if you can sell them yet. They may be locked to the original purchaser.

That's the attitude they're taking with the games any way.

Ps4 will be quite noticeably faster. The ports should be like this PC>PS4>720. If this is the case then devs mine as well expand their market and make PC games then port them down easily and far cheaper than what it would have been this generation.

The good thing about the PS4 and xbox next or 720, or whatever it is called, AMD will make some money for once off it so that we can actually maybe have some competition between intel and AMD and better and faster cpus
