Xbox Boss wants Xbox 360 Backwards compatibility on PC

Microsoft's Phil Spencer has stated that he would like to see Xbox 360 backwards compatibility on the PC, though I doubt we will ever see it.

Read more on Phil Spencer wanting Xbox One backwards compatibility on PC.

If you were Microsoft how would you plan to market this feature on PC or monetize it?

i dont see it happening. they dont serve to profit from it due to not selling the games any more, direct pc ports of 360 games would be much more likely. and then it could only be the xbox exclusives.

They could easily add them to Origin I guess. Would have to have the original dev onboard, but who wouldn't want a second payday?

Hang on a sec, There's 3 contradicting titles here -

1. Picture of play Xbox 360 games on Xbox One
2. Xbox One compatibility on PC
3. Xbox 360 games on PC

I would imagine if they did make it so that 360 games can be natively played on a PC then this would steal some of their thunder from backwards compatibility on the One and may affect console sales. But if say they did do it, they could be cheeky and make it so that you have to own an Xbox One and purchase the 360 game digitally in the store so you can play it on the One, and then as a *bonus* you get access to the game on PC too (using an emulator that they provide, or through some other method).
