X800 PCI-E Pencil MoD

Ive Penciled down the R1597 so instead of reading 431ohm it read 408 but when i go and test to see if my vcore has raised from the standard 1.41 it hasnt..

wat can i do..?
 
The blue chip read 4.31ohm and ive penciled it down to 4.08 yet the vcore has stayed the same.. 1.41.. wat am i doing wrong.. is this the wrong one im doing..?

Red and Blue are the same as the pic above...

Orange are where there are no chips..
 
hey animal, how did you do it? i have a x850xt pe and can't seem to get the mod working, i tried on the resistor you showed above, tia
 
Imanaged to get it workin but ended up soldering it as i didnt like the pencil mod in the end..

as for the 850 tbh i doubt its the same as the 800.. will have a look into it 4 u
 
Yep if u post a pic of the bak of the card with detailed close ups.. i should be able to tell u where i needs to be dun.
 
Herer are the reading points...

by the looks of it, its the same point on these cards as the x800 for vmodding.

Yeah I was referring to that. I can't see how it wouldn't work unless you did it wrong. Every single X850 PCIe is made by Sapphire so they have the same PCB so it should definitely work. Try again is my suggestion.
