Regarding the seagate momentus XT 2.5" hybrid drive can they be raided in raid0?
Just one of these harddrives owns a velociraptor in nearly every benchmark if not all.

So raiding 2 momentus XT 500GB would not only cost less than a velociraptor but also gives alot more storage too.
- x2 Seagate Momentus XT 500GB Hybrid [sata II] = £213.84 inc postage
- x1 Western Digital VelociRaptor 600GB {sata III] = £224.59 inc postage
I understand that theres a firmware update on the momentus XT http://seagate.custkb.com/seagate/crm/selfservice/search.jsp?DocId=215451 [firmware sd24] that has fixed all privious problems of freezing up the system on a regular basis, is this true?
However i did find this review http://www.overclockersclub.com/reviews/seagate_momentus_xt_500gb/4.htm which benchmarks the momentus XT in raid0 back in may 2010.
Anyway im thinking that the 4GB flash works exactly like the 64MB cache other HDDs have right?, it uses the 4GB as a rad cache and a 64MB DRAM cache as write cache?
