Does anyone know whether a 512Mb card uses all 512Mb with a 256Mb crossfire master card or just 256Mb? Because I dont really want to waste £60 on 256Mb of useless ram.

lol.. I cant help you there I'm afraid, but the 512mb 6800's were a total waste of time.

The current review unit is 512MB versus 7800GTX 256MB - there seems to be no penalty on these units fro the exrtra ram - really looking forward to seeing the results in November.

Hehe or it could be said I invest wisely. I don't spend any money on anything else and I've got a nice big student loan
. I sometimes eat crappy meals like plain pasta or sandwiches instead of eating in hall just to save like £2. Also I don't buy books for my course, I just ask other people for help. I'm really quite economic in other areas, just excessive with computer components.I too am looking forward to the results but it will be mid November before I get the cards and maybe even later for the cascades as pc ice is quite busy
