hey hoping someone can help me with a slight problem ive encounterd....Basicially, i came home from work 2nite lookin forward to pwning the OC3D first team, only to find my monitor had no signal going to it:(

so i had a play witht he cables and the card to check they dint somehow fall out of place whilst i was a work....but nothing :cussing:

So i then put in my old Nvidea mumbo jumbo which is a useful as a carrot tbh, but that worked anyway, so im guessin my card is faulty ova night?

Would be gratefull for any suggestions on how this occured or if u no of a good graphics card (Manufacture not a issue aslong as its good) that i can buy to replace, looking for a card that can give constant fps ova 90 which is wot i was reaching before

thanks in advance

o and how can i change my account name :topic:

You on stock cooling? it may have overheated if you are. The cooling on my X1600 was bloody terrible.

ummm, well ive had it for about 5 months, and before now ive never had a problem with temps, and with a new case ive got has an extra 2 fans, so including the fan on the graphics card, il have 6 fans inside, so i wouldnt have thought over heating would have been a problem?

The heatsinks are not known to be very good

Can you not RMA it?

na not yet, guna get my m8s dad to have a look at it on saturday, plus, i was bit of a idiot and im not 100% sure where i got it from, so il have a look at my online accounts n track it down,

Just seems wierd to me how it wkred 1 night then failed the following :(

If you plug it back in does the fan on the card turn?

I had 9800 that died shortly after the fan failed :(

when i put the card in, the fan seems to be working at the same level before and the light the comes on when theres no power going to it stays off, thas y im confuzzled. Unless ive just not connected something to it properly, but i have taken it out a few times and put it back in so i thought thas not a issue.

has anyone got advice on a good card to replace it with if it comes to that?

fair enuf. cheers mate, :worship: . im guessin u would rate the card well ye?How would u compare it to the card i used to have, "Radion x1600 pro":worship:

Yeah the 7600 should outperform the X1600 easily

hey Kemp, i tried getting that card but the company muked me about so i cancled, any chance of that link you gave me first of all.

Cheers

I have to agree with Kemp on this one, the Nvidia 7600 is a much better card with newer technology, better cooler and generally quieter.

Go for it mate ;)
