Hmm I wonder why? Maybe because we are waiting for finalized beta and specification and such in order to do an official press release on it with accurate information without speculation. This post was just to make you aware. Not for you to tell us exactly what's wrong with everything

Hmm because arguing solves everything? No, im giving my opinion to what i think this is. W/e this is if it becomes better than X-fire youll be damned sure that X-fire will copy, and make better. Sooo, same thing, arguing for nothing. This is worse than arguing over whether which AIM version is better

Im not trying to argue or be a
with anybody, but this is what i see. X-Fire has been around for like ever, its going to be mighty hard for some random people to take that top spot from them. Let alone get all of X-Fires support. There will always be fan boys to support one company. Sorta like me and AMD. Yea, i admit Intel wins this round, but i stick with AMD no questions asked. Same goes for this. There will always be those people.
Now play nicely children. Can't leave you two alone for one minute can we? I can say that technology industry changes alot and a shift can happen, think how many of us "Yahoo'd" and now we Google. I was one of the last to get on the Google bandwagon because of that bloody stupid name. Google.
I think that if this product is truly great and runs with low resources and has a very powerful client that will work without a hitch in games you may see a shift. It's hard to get people to switch from a messenging client but it is possible.
On the AMD note, I am a fanboy through and through but I'm also a man who wants the best. I am jumping ship in the first quarter of 07 because I simply can't deny Intel's superiority in this. I don't know if I will ever be called a fanboy, I sure as hell hope not. I think of a fanboy as a silly boy in his room with and Intel T-shirt, a Intel radioactive man plush, which I had before my dog Leopold ate it, with stickers on everything who refuse to accept that AMD is better. I'm sure they are happy now. People like you are necessary, the world would be different if SEGA had the brand loyalty when it was needed.
I don't think it's fair to liken proccy camps to messenger programs. I think its a bigger thing with processors because you commit hundreds to thousands with a processor versus what, nothing for a messenger client. I just want a client with the popularity of AIM that people stay on, which I don't like about xfire.. no one stays online.
On a side note. Fragtek is the John Kerry of fanboys.
I am looking forward to the beta though, I thoroughly abhor the performance and useability of Xfire and await a client that works in practice, not just in theory.
LAST EDIT: Everyone buy Vanguard Saga of Heroes.
Now, Inflecto Volo.
