Write lock usb sticks

Hello all,

At work we have one lockable usb stick. This is useful for dealing with malware infected computers. Its a hardware lock which prevents anything being written to the usb stick until unlocked.

We can't find any anywhere as it seems the original has been broken.

Anyone seen them anywhere in the UK?

Not quite. It needs to allow read only as in say...malwarebytes to be installed. But the stick needs to not be compromised so we know its safe to use in other machines

If you can't find a USB stick, SD Cards still come with the little 'lock' switch on the side, which I believes stops data from being written to it? Could be an alternative.

Ok, so, I did a little research, and my previous idea was a bad one. Turns out, the switch on SD cards isn't a hardware implementation. Rather, it enables some software on the drive to speak to your OS and tells it not to write to it. I imagine OSs such as Linux would be able to get around this with no problem, as would well written viruses.
