AMD Thuban 1090t

Asus Crosshair IV Formula

16GB G.Skill 1600Mhz

A.L.C. Single Loop CPU Water Cooler

Asus 470 GTX

Antec Three Hundred Case

vcore 1.475

4.0 Ghz o/c

Turbo Core, C1E, disabled

It's a simple setup; I am isolating the CPU for a quick bump to 4Ghz, but when running at load via Prime 95, the temps creep to 64 and 65C, which scares me. Temps are reported by Asus PCProbe and CoreTemps. PC PRobe seems more accurate to me while CoreTemps lags behind it in reporting the temps. I am interested to know how to get the load temp down to 60 or below with this setup.

any help is appreciated...

Dude I really wouldn't worry too much about those temps. If it was in the 70s on Phenom then maybe.

What size rad are you using?

Increase size of your rad. Use push/pull fan arrange or simply lower your clock and voltage.

Temps look okay to me, though your volts seem awfully high but i've always used intels so im not sure how on that stacks up in the red camp.

As for improvements check the airflow inside your case is good and as said above putting push pull config fans should yield some improvement. I'm not familiar with the A.L.C system you speak of though? More information would be appreciated so any troubled area can be addressed more accurately.

Im using the Crosshair V Formula with the 1090T @ 4.0Ghz

using 1.46v and still load temps @44c with Notcua D-14 cooler

i wonder why your temps are so high

you have push pull going on for the eco right?
