Worst Case Scenario Testing

Why does no one setup a hot box to test GPU's in worst case scenarios? Johnny Guru does it with power supplies. This could be helpful for GPU's as well.

Probably because nobody would put an ultra high end GPU in a mid tower ventless box. Also I guess if you can remove thermal issues then you can really compare the performance of the cards evenly. There shouldn't be any outside factors that influence play.

I did once stuff a 600w semi modular PSU and an MSI GTX570 TwinFrozr in an old HP home desktop case.... that was loud and hot. I think it had maybe one 80mm exhaust and a few tiny holes in the side of the case. Absolutely zero airflow around the card and so much cable clutter you couldn't see the motherboard. Not recommended. ;)
