World of Tanks Update 1.4 Delivers Full Multi-threading Support

Dang that's impressive uplift. I mean the only issue the engine had for me personally was the random 127FPS cap. If they can get that removed i'd easily hit 300FPS in this game for the lols:p

I've heard this has its largest boost on Bulldozer CPUs, apparently the patch is meant to make better use of SMT so in theory it should benefit Bulldozer>Zen>iCore on 4c/8t or similar layouts. I guess the benefit to Intel is that presumably the 2c/4t processors that they still throw in many laptops can handle it better, but with Zen being so similar to iCore it'd be hard to avoid crossover benefits in that case.

Pretty sure you can edit the config file and set the cap at whatever you want. At least you can in World of Warships. Heard it was the same for WoTs

Probably can but not really worth it, you don't gain much from removing it, just weird to even have one for such an easy to run game. You can in WoWs and everyone should because why the hell is it at 76 is beyond me. But you have to edit the file after every update, tedious, even if easy. Not worth the hassle and I always forget tbh

The file itself gets updated I am confident as others have tried that and it gets updated regardless. Which means they delete it and replace it, which makes sense if they add new stuff it may have to be updated and it can't get updated if it's read only.
