the 9590 costs 290Euros, the 4790k costs 320 euros.
If the price on the 9590 drops more then it would be more value than a 4790k to buy, hence I would satisfy my inner :amd: fanboy. Otherwise I'm considering buying the i7 because it's better tbh

Honestly even being a fanboy at this point is not worth it, AMD's offerings next to Intel are very weak, Your best off saving up a little more and going the Intel route, You will be far better off in the long run.

Your better going Intel mate, lower power consumption and higher performance.

TBH I'd advise overclocking a FX 8350 yourself over the FX-9590

I ADVISE YOU NOT TO BUY IT!

The performance is awfull for the cooling, huge power consumption and noise

A stock 4790k with 74w tdp will beat a 5ghz amd 9590 with tdp of 220w in most scenarios.

I am not being an intel fanboy now, im just looking at benchmarks, gaming performance etc.

if all you want is clockspeed then do what i did for a fraction of the price

A new case, i'd really like to build an mATX rig, but i can't justify buying a new mainboard at this point.
A g27 racing wheel.
A HOTAS of some sorts.
A third screen (don't have enough space atm).
I'd really like to try a WMO but i don't trust ebay and i won't pay 75€ for one.
I'm happy with everything else and won't change anything about it for the foreseeable future.

Well right now i'm on the edge of buying this lot for a baby build and everything is falling into place perfectly. The Gene and Force LX are the nuts, Parvum are happy to tweak the S2 slightly for me and I can get a free copy of W7Pro off uni. With enough hunting I even managed to get it under the £1k mark, I just need to sort of gauge how my parents are going to react to me spending all of the money i've earnt this summer on PC stuff, i'm not sure my PS3 being old and nearly dead is going to do it.
