Guys & Gals,

I am after some headset advice. But first some background

PC has a Creative X-Fi PCIe card of some description (ie I can't remember exactly which model) This feeds a Logitech Z-5500 setup via Optical cable

I had a Plantronic DSP-500 USB Wired that were comfortable - but wired. Now very broken. Not terribly expensive

I have a Plantronics 995H RF Wireless - that are not comfortable - but very good at Skype. Adequate headphones for music

I have a set of Nokia BH-905 (Bluetooth) which are superbly comfortable. However I cannot get them to work well with the computer and the invisible microphone is crap (had them since they came out and only just realized that they even have a microphone!!). Excellent headphones though, I use them with an iPod mostly whilst on the train.

I also have a set of cheapo Sony MDR-CD270 wired headphones only which are quite comfortable - but almost as old as I am (don't ask) - and no mic

A set of Bose QC3 headphones. Very comfortable - but starting to fall apart (wired and no mic). Replaced with the Nokia's

Lastly I have a Plantronics P590 BT headset, which have good sound, poor+ microphone and aren't comfortable (too tight)

I am looking for a headphone set for gaming, VoIP, Skype etc.

Must be wireless - not Bluetooth - I don't like BT on PC's - it never seems to work well. Preferably 5.8GHz as I use a lot of wireless

Similar build quality to the Nokia BH-905's (or better).

Preferably use replaceable batteries - no custom Li-Ion irreplaceable batteries - I want these for the long term and I don't like irreplaceable batteries

Non-Collapsible (collapsible headsets tend to be more breakable)

I prefer on-ear to over-ear - what I really want is comfortable

What is also is the ability to treat as a separate device. (ie to be playing a game on the normal speakers, and have voice through the headset or to have all sounds through the headset by changing the sound configuration on Windows 7 - does that make sense? This does mean that they can't be too insulated

Not looking for noise cancellation - that what I have other headsets for

Stuff I am looking at:

These look awesome: http://www.nox-audio.com/Products/Admiral-Touch-Wireless-Surround-Headset-20 - I hate to think how much though. Also over-ear. Also not out yet so god knows what the actual spec is

Another possibility: http://store.razerzone.com/store/ra...parentCategoryID.54297600/categoryId.55106100

Some Creative options: http://uk.store.creative.com/headph...phonesandHeadsets&utm_campaign=ProductCatIcon but are over-ear and 2.4GHz

Anyone have any ideas? Even a suggestion of where I can go to have a look at some of these in one place and try them out for comfort

Sean

You wont get any interference, trust me. And the best part is they are transmitted by a little USB only and have a great battery life and amazing drivers. also they have a range of like 100 feet. and they are around the ear, unless you are a Vulcan.
