wireless headphones

Thinking of buying a set of Logitech G930 headphones, but unsure of how they work.

What do wireless headphones need to work? A wireless Mobo/certain sound card?

I have the G930 and they are phenomenal, the 7.1 is very accurate. And all you need is the driver from the logitech website as that is the latest one, then you plug in the little 2 inch dongle in your computer and you are ready to go.

Thanks, that’s what I read. But I still do not know how it works!

Does it pick up the Mobo on board sound? (if there is one)

Does it pick up the sound card? (if there is one)

Or does it by pass both?

Are we saying there is no need of either Mobo on board sound or sound card?

What does the driver do?

Sorry but I can not get my head around this. All help is welcome.

It bypasses all of that and uses digital sound through the USB dongle out to the headphones.

Here is what the driver looks like. You can control each individual direction, voice morph, and assign directions to the 'G' keys.

Thanks, so what you are saying is that to use these you do not need a sound card at all, just the head phone programme?
