Well what I have read in a magazine article... I shall write out here in brief:

"Nvidia have force Microsoft to remove one of the obsticles to getting it to work on XP. Rumour has it that Nvidia have been having promlems virtualising 3D memory of its 8x00 series. Resulting in the feature being shifted from a requirement to just a optional feature"

The team working on it already has libraries running in XP. If they get everything up and running (libraries being the hardest ive been told) then we shall have DX10 in XP.

Be a kick in the teeth for the Vista bunch tho, but obviously they`d delay an XP dx10 launch long enough to get some fair Vista sales in first - then bring it out.

U can`t tell me they don`t have a pc running XP with Dx10, and have been for some while.

There`s always The Alky Project. Not completely sure how well it works atm, but rumor has it u can run Vista`s sidebar on XP !???! how bizarre.

I have been following this project for sometime, not too impressed to tell the truth.

And why would you want the Vista Sidebar in XP? haha, the idea of getting DX10 on XP is so that we don't have to move to Vista. I don't want to turn my XP into Vista..

Not miffed at all, I'm all for enabling more people to play DX10 games. I like Vista too

Yes but if its actually running off the same technology as dx10 then it shows it can be done, highlighting possible tactics from MS
