Windows won't boot

Hello. After installing windows 8 and setting it up, it wont boot. I get this screen when i try to get back in...

Can anyone help? I have no idea where to start.

you need a windows 8 disk to repair it if you dont have one try and get one from ms if you paid for the upgrade via them they can send a disk or give you a digital download to burn to disk.

looks like you may of treid to do the upgrade via win 7 itself the new windows 8 files have destroyed the boot sector you can possibly load up repair from a windows 7 install disk but i doubt it will work now windows 8 has started to overight the win 7 install...meaning you will need a win 8 disk.

I feel like a numpty now, turns out it was the bootloader i'm using. There is actually nothing wrong with my windows volume if i boot to it using "F12" (using the stock windows bootloader).
