Windows Vista SP1 released.

i got it about a month ago, on the public trial thing, tbh i havent noticed a difference

Yeah I knew quite a few people will have already got this but also quite a few have been waiting for it to show up in the auto updated just on the off chance they made any changes to it before full release. I'll download it a little later on.

Like ya say though probably wont make a massive difference. Probably does some work behind the scenes though.

yeah, i dont really look at load times etc closely, and i believe it does a lot with hard disk management or something..

Its out for 64bit.

Its updating now through Windows Update.

Cool..

I've got the 32bit version downloaded here but its gonna restart my system and take a while to install it.. It can wait until later.

Well I was running RC1 before had to uninstall that to get the SP1 install to work but so far its been running great seems faster then before even compared to that of the RC1, Im only running 2gb on my system but can someone confirm the rumor about SP1 doing some kinda of code tweak so that 32bit OSes can see up to 8gb? if someone has 4gb of ram can you at least confirm if you see the full 4gb now?

yes, the 32bit version will "see" all 4GB, but still cannot use it all

Well thats pointless??

Hmm RAM use isn't down, although the OS is very slightly more responsive

Can't note anything else though

Ahh well worst it does is gonna nick a little of my hdd space so I'll actually install it later.
