Windows Picture Viewer Question

Game Over

I use Windows picture Viewer on XP. I use it as a supplement for my language learning studies. I like to place pictures of objects/activities etc in one folder, the name of the object in the language (spanish currently). Then open the folder of named pictures in Windows picture viewer and play it in slide Show mode where the picture changes each time I click on the screen. Sort of like using flash cards on my screen.

I really like using it because it is very easy to add more pictures and has very few steps to use.

The issue I have is that the slideshow plays the pictures in alphabetical order, I want a random order but do not see an option for that. When the flash cards are always in same order and alphabetical to boot, its not too helpful. Its a bit like cheating

Anyone know if there is way to choose a random order? or maybe you can recommend a picture viewing program out there that would allow for a random order of play?

Irfanview

That app is oldskool:). I remember using it to convert my 100000png images into .avi for my movie

Tried out the irfanview, Works just like Windows media Viewer in Slide show mode, but if I hit Ctrl+M, It will bring up next image but rather in order it will be a random image in the set. Exactly what I was looking for. Works nicely

Thanks!

I was going to advice Hamana as it is easier to use and faster in my view. Also, if you love defining shortcuts and mouse access it is one of the better ones. But, if you are happy with irfanview, stick with it.
