Hey peeps

Got a massive windows issue, its painfully slow, after the windows logo apears on start up, the blue riund circle spins for like 5mins until login screen appears. Windows then takes another 5mins to load, then another 3mins for my desktop icons to show. My cpu usage is only 0.2% and ram 20%. when i load the browser, its still slow, windows total freezes. What could it be?

another program conflicting? i used to have a similar issue when i used to use norton

I checked which programs where running, they were only the usual like real temp and chrome. Didn't have any others apart from Origin open in the background aswell. Repairing windows didn't work either

it was a recent m$-update that caused this

(m$ coding noobs)

it is all over the web... i too, have had issues in the last week: BSODs; memory leaking; etc...

it is a .NET fault (again

) ...i hate NET with passion

Oh so i thought my old corsair SSD was about to go to the eternal huntinggrounds. Im having same issues but not as bad as dipzy describes it. Whats the best way to deal with this? wait for new update fix, roll back, ininstall the NET update or reinstall windows fresh?

Refusing to update Windows like a baws

I have a similar issue on my lappy, everytime i open chrome the pc freezes.

I accidently let IE9 install on a laptop..

.. one thing I noticed with it tho is that if your browsing experience is slow, it can list all the things that are running during the web-page load - and what effect they had. Asks you if you want to close them etc...

Thought that was nice.

Another note on cpu load, that is of course what windows is informing you is the cpu load.

right guys, its working so far today without any issues, back to what it use to be. I've got the .NET update on the list but im not going to install it as dug said there were issues with and also SP1, which gives me BSOD's every freakin day so wont be installing that either. Apart from that all is good for now

i hope

Congratz. I guess. ._.

I have Win7 Pro x64 and haven't had any problems through all the updates. My daughter had slow boots, freezes, BSOD's, turned out to be her memory was going bad. Once it was replaced, relatively back to normal except for the borked files. She ended up reinstalling Windows anyway. You should boot to a flash drive with memtest86 and run it to be sure.
