Windows Icons Incorrectly Displayed

Hello again,

New problem here. After a day of playing BF3 (and doing nothing else on my PC) my icons have been randomly disappearing. One at a time.

DUN DUN DUN!

Here is what they look like:

I have accessed their properties and tried locating the icon. The icon image is still there and linked correctly. I have also tried repairing broken shortcuts and icons via TuneUp Utilities, and reinstalling the applications. Nothing.

I had that prob with Tune Utilities when I used to use it. Go into the folder it's installed to and right click on the .exe and select pin to start menu, making a shortcut causes the broken icon it happens with a couple of programs.

The icons in the start menu are not shortcuts. The icon pinned to the taskbar is not TuneUp, it's another program.

I get a popup message when I go to change the icon: "Windows can't find the file %ProgramFiles%\TuneUp Utilities\Integrator.exe."

So I located that myself and ran it... it works fine. I don't understand.
