Windows 8 start shortcuts

Hi, i feel like a noob for asking this but if got steam games on my desktop, but i want them on my start screen for windows 8, does anyone know how to do this, cause the games are steam games, i cant find the icon file in the file on HDD, so does anyone have any ideas, little bit of a noob moment.

open up explorer and go to

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs

then copy your short cuts there, then just search "just start typing on windows 8 start screen" right click and pin to start
