Hi guys, needing some help after upgrading my computer and reinstalling windows.

I never had this issue before hand, so I'm really confused to what might cause such a thing and hopefully you guys can help me figure this one out.

4GB ram usage with just chrome is absurd and last night it even reached 99% memory usage for no reason. :(

I have roughly 3.6GB in use with just chrome open so that sounds about right but I'm unsure as to why it jumped up to 99% usage for you, All the correct bios settings for your memory, XMP etc... ?

just used the WDK for 8.1, got this information from poolmon.

Seems mr killer networks e2200 is causing massive memory leaks!

Sadly the only network device is the e2200, going to have to dig out an old NIC or try older drivers.

I've been told any kernel driver over 40mb is normally a bad driver, so 2GB's is definitely shagged.

EDIT: when will motherboard manufactures learn that intel NIC's are just fine for any usage scenario, gaming grade stuff sucks balls.

The trouble with companies now is they come out with any old crap that they put zero effort into and slap the "Gaming Grade" sticker on it :(

Yup, found out the killer network chip is an atheros one with stupid bloatware.
Will just have to find a stock driver, there is hope afterall.

I had to stop using my Killer card on Windows 8.1 as the drivers were bugged to high hell, and were causing the pc to crash all the time when gaming.

Went back to the Onboard and had no issues since, and also had no issues on Windows 7 either.
