windows 8.1 64bit OEM iso

I'm aware you know have an ISO of some description but would it be possible to use this link, enter your product key, download the install files and create an ISO?

Or is that what you already did?

I have tried that SPS to no avail, it says I don't have in Internet connection (when I try a generic key), an out right refuses my OEM key. Only got it from aria on Wednesday an I have had nothing but headaches since

Yeah that's the plan now, had to stop an just accept it before I put my foot through the dammed rig. What a massive fail on Microsoft behalf, especially considering they were pushing to make the xbone download content only not long ago

I have no idea if this is correct in any way, but i remember reading briefly that Microsoft made it even harder to dl an iso image... i could be wrong though...!

Right guys I managed to crack it an then use my activation code, I feel like a weight has been lifted off my noggin haha. Thanks for all your input, especially SieB that info you gave me was invaluable

No probs, glad you got it working :D

I had a similar prob with my Windows 8, because I have an upgrade key I can't do a fresh install of Windows 8 form a Windows 8 disk with it, so I have to use the work around for the product key I posted earlier and then activate Windows over the phone.

Yeah I didn't have to phone anyone, but I was rather stressed out about it haha. It's sorted now tho, so I can send said rig off to my mate an out of my sight

I've got a similar issue to this, got Windows 8.1 on disk with the key, but no dvd drive on my newly built pc.

I've got a laptop with a dvd drive and a 16gb usb stick, how can I get the OS on to the USB so I can install it on my new pc?

I was going to ask something along these lines.

Can anyone recommend a legitimate website to buy and download the full Windows 8.1 Retail 64bit ISO with product key? Microsoft really make it difficult for you! Do I really have to buy the disc from a reseller? I don't want to use any Windows 7 discs to upgrade as I'd lose that Win7 (they are retail so can be put on any pc, as long as it's only one).

I found that getting the iso isn't a problem, but getting the key can be for some reason. I currently have a modded windows 8.1 iso on a pen drive (it takes a windows 8 key, so I can for a full fresh windows 8.1 install with my windows 8 key), an I refuse to erase it because it took me so long to sort out

Cheers Trip. Looks like the best way is just order a disk of the net and put it on a USB.

Are all versions of Win8.1 you can get OEM? Haven't seen a retail version, i.e. one I can eventually move over to another pc later on.

They stopped the two different versions. OEM from windows is essentially because its theirs so its Windows OEM. Otherwise from someone else its Dell OEM, Hp OEM, etc.
