Windows 7 OEM Prices Revealed

Wow, OEM is looking very tempting given the fact that I dont see the difference between OEM and Retail with my copy of XP.

Though windows 7 might be a different story.

Now to decide which is more deserving, my main pc or netbook...

But retail can only be installed on a single PC anyway??

Else I'll rush out right now and pre-order Win7 64 for my and MrsVBs PCs.

Retail allows for reinstalls on different hardware.

Yeah that's what I thought. Damn cheeky that I need to buy two copies of a hideously expensive OS just to run them legally on two PCs in the same house that are three feet apart.

Suggesting there is a way to bypass windows licencing ( whatever individuals views are ) OC3D forums is not such a place.

Views on windows policy may be discussed but ways to circumvent them can't.

A seperate thread and a new server to handle the slagging of microsoft may or may not recieve may be a better place to air views.

There's also some more info regards the family pack offering three licences to be found here

No fear von wasn't aimed at you. :)

will be interesting to see the pricing on the family pack ( 3 license ) version. Does say on Microsoft that it will be available for a limited time only for some reason though?

US prices, as best as I can find, are $99 for Home and $160 for a 3 license Home.

Hmmm. Kinda cheap, but not. I imagine that the Pro and Ultimate version will be arse-clenchingly expensive. Although they are already.

U could also buy their Vista OEM with free Win7 upgrade for around the same prices.

Way I figure, u *could* oem 2 machines from that :p

In all honesty i think i'll be buying the retail copy. Don't fancy buying multiple copies of Win 7 for the different PC's
