So who here is going to be jumping on Windows 10 at launch? Also why?

Me straight away as it performs a lot better than Windows 7 and 8.1 plus has a lot more customization options than previous versions of Windows AND it has DX12, Whats not to want ?

Never jump on anything at launch. Wait for others to test it and report back then I can form an opinion .

I'll have to format my system HDD as I haven't done that for the past 2 years and everything is sooooooooo sloooooooow. (even for an HDD)

Me, I along with some other guys from here bought a key from a seller on reddit who funnily enough has been doing business for years but MS blocked my key as I guess it wasn't legit so now I'm in the "trial period" and can't afford another key until next month which means I might have to resort to "Other methods".

I'll say what many people are thinking. I have the pirated version of Windows 7, woke up and found the Windows 10 icon thingy. I am interested in trying it out, however will this mean I will need to get a legitimate w7 key in order for it to be fully operational or could I just get a W10 key?

If you would rather not resort to those "other methods" I do have a few keys for win 8 that I am not using at the moment and would be more than happy to give you one free of charge if it is allowed. Not a big fan of people getting ripped off nor people having to rip of others.

Though maybe I will make an exception for MS annoying as.... to just get an installation ISO.

It has DX12.. nothing else does atm though lol
Gonna take sometime before we get a true DX12 game and not one ported over from DX11.. the difference won't be so large but I'd rather it be DX12 only.. Drop that old stuff

I won't be upgrading straight away.. will wait up to a month after release if they screw this up.

Witcher 3 has some rather interesting code and scripts in the content files I wouldn't be at all surprised if it will support DX12 rather quickly.

Same with PCARS, The devs said it will get up to a 40% performance increase and that "PCARS really loves DX12" so hopefully more devs can release DX12 patches

Arkham Knight is all I'm waiting for now fingers crossed it's DX12 right from the get go.. I'll need it. as for Win 8.1 Who did you get your Key off? Mines 100% tiptop, fully updated and waiting for upgrade.

It was around a few months ago when I asked in the off topic thread, I got it from a reddit seller who has a store, It just deactivated recently, I phoned MS and they said the key was blocked

I was dubious about buying from there but after reading the rules and guide lines on Microsoft keys, they are legit (or should be) if not you can demand your money back because it's fraud.
