God only knows what it's going to be like on my i7 4790K, I was looking at upgrading sometime this year, may be earlier than I thought and off to AMD too!

Ive full updated including my M/B bios and windows and haven't noticed and performance difference in the games i play nor general use of my PC ,also 3dmark benchmarks are all within the margin of error compared to before and after updating windows and bios with Meltdown and Spectre fixes , this is with a Skylake i7 6700k CPU

TBH I have noticed no performance drops. However, I have had BSODs, freezing and reboots as well as two programs dying and refusing to run any more.

The other morning my PC would not shut down. I could not CTRL ALT DEL etc so I had to force shut down holding the power button. Then it refused to boot for about 30 mins.

Right old PITA this stuff. Won't be updating my new PC at all.
