Hi guys, I'm planning to do a window cut and I need to buy some molding for the edges..

I don't know which to choose, since I haven't used it before and I want to have the thinnest molding possible.

At the moment, I've got these 2 in mind

1.

I'll do with double sided tape, which apperenly works out quite ok :) (mnpctech)

Tape im gonna use is Bison Super adhesive, so it wont fall of (I hope lol)

Guess I'm going for the second one cuz it's thinner... That will cost me less shipping aswell :)

I sed the sticky pads from the CCFL tubes...but it does leave a mess. Only used it because that channeling makes a rather proud edge...btw...and a personal opinion, i wouldnt use the channeling, its nice for a soft edge, but just get a nice soft edge on the cut and it will look a hell of a lot better...

i reckon try to do the cut neat enough and then file/ sand it down and you wont need the u channel

get rid of the u channel and it looks more "PRO" in my oppinion

yeah, indeed it looks better without, but since this is the first ever for me, i want it just in case u know ;)

Thanks for the feedback all!

And yeah, ill try to cut as neat as possible ;)

ill certainely upload some pics ;)

The problem with this is, if your doors black and you cut and file it you then have a bare metal edge which ruins the look, either re-powdercoat, spray, or use a u-channel.
