Yes a 280x can be paired with a 7970. Same core just a rebranded card.
Yep sure can. Same core still. Just need the newest drivers so the driver can recognize a R9 series card. Think thats 13.6 drivers and after?

thats one thing that is awesome about Xfire vs Sli you don't need to have identical as long as they are rocking the same core you can mix and match. Not that i would but still a cool feature.

People who win these who are the ones that just come on to enter are the ones who won't contribute, They are here to enter and if they do or do not win they go away never to be seen again.
A certain post count should be implemented, Must have so many posts on the forums to be able to enter, Not a high number just a number that shows they aren't just here for a competition and then bugger off straight afterwards but shows they are enthusiasts who will use the card and not just flog it or use it once and throw it in a corner.
If we did that you wouldnt have any prizes thats why its linked to facebook and not forums more often than not.

Right. Without those freeloaders the regulars wouldnt even get the opportunity. TBH I rely on the freeloaders as you call it to make the whole thing viable. In all honesty the competitions are for them..... So please less emphasis on the ones wanting to enter. And concentrate on the ones bitching they have to enter.
This comes up every competition and tbh its these type of comments that will stop the comps even making it to the forums AT ALL.

The freeloaders are the ones that bitch that they have to press like though ^_^
The ones that come in and say "Hey thanks for the competition" are all good and best of luck to them just the one's that complain that they need to fill out a form to win free expensive stuff or press like are the ones I find annoying
The olny reason Tom gets stuff to give away, is because so many people will see the competition. If we remove all "freeloaders", it will be a tiny competition, and nobody would give Tom free shit

I think it's fair to say that not to many people understand what these competitions mean to OC3D as far as making up the numbers from a business perspective, just appreciate the fact you get the chance to win something nice and cross your fingers.
