Wich Ivy CPU?

So i basically want the ivy bridge version of the 2500k and i haven't paid attention to ivy bridge at all. And don't even know if it is worth it, compared to other ivy CPU's.

I am looking at the 3570k, but i'm not sure as to if it's worth it over another CPU. :p
Also what is the difference between K, T and S.

EDIT: Money is not an issue in this case.

3570k = Ivy's 2500k.
Fully unlocked multiplier, HD4000 iGPU.
The other CPUs you mention seem to be underclocked chips for power saving etc.
They also only run on HD2500 iGPUs.

You said that you wanted the Ivy Bridge version of the 2500k :P
If you find yourself getting annoyed at how long your 3D work takes to render etc. on your 2500k, then perhaps the 3770k is for you.
If not, go with the 3570k.
That being said, there really isn't a big performance increase jumping to Ivy, and you do have a great chip at the moment.

How much 3d work, if it is just a little bit for fun I would stick to the 3570k but if it is for work or something then maybe you should look at the 3770k

Edit : Wait, you already have a 2500k? I really wouldn't bother upgrading unless you need the hyper threading that comes with the 3770k

Probably going the get the 3570k, and i know it ain't much better than the 2500k.

I am upgrading, just 'cause i can! Don't you guys love getting new hardware and playing around with it? :p

Well, this is my first time with building a PC, but yes, yes I do :)
How comes you only run your 2500k at 4.3GHz, by the way?
The 'D14 should be able to carry it a fair bit further.

Because i don't really need more, as you've said upgrading isn't neccesary, and i like to run my fans on crazy low speeds.

I've got an H100 ready to go once MSI decides to release the Z77 Mpower, but i kind of regreat buying it because i want to go full WC in 3-4 months time. :)

I gotta admit that i was planning on getting the 3570k, until jim popped up on the FS section where i grabbed the 3770k,

but since decided im buying it of him next week, i came to the conclusion that the wife makes sooo many videos for her blog, that it is worth getting

but it all comes down to, have you got the extra £70-80 spare to spend on it?

If youre upgrading because you can you can just get the 3770k cant you?

I mean, wouldnt you get a z77 Board for it too then ?
Just using the 3570k instead of the 2500k is probably as much difference as 1333 and 1866 RAM..
