I get all the time why dyes fade or go misty.

so here is you answer ...

14 day test

1 Drop of biocide per 1 Ltr, Liquid PH 7.4

Liquid still the same as the day i started the test

1 Drop of biocide Per 1 Ltr, PH Liquid 2.1

Liquid going cloudy and fading.

1 drop of biocide per 1 ltr, PH of liquid 10.1

Liquid starting to cloud and colour changing

3 drops of biocide per 1 ltr, PH liquid 7.4

That is why your liquids fade, change colour, or mist .....

to fix it go to your local pet store buy a test kit and you can pick up PH balancing liquids as well.

the idear of the extreme PH levels is just to speed up the process and for no other reason.

Well if you look its the PH of the Liquids. the PH changes because of things like

1) unclean water cooling loop

2) To much sun light

3) flux from radiators

4) any contaminates in the water from un-flushed GPU, CPU, reservoirs

5) flushing out system with some chemical and then not cleaning said chemical out afterwards. (e.g Vinegar, bicarb)

all so you have adding to much biocide in the loop this doesn't help. when a bottle say 1 to 2 drops per ltr and you add 3 to 10 drops and then wonder why you liquids mess up

The adding to much biocide cannot be fixed only with new fluids and the correct amount of biocide. The PH balance can be fixed by hitting you local pet suppliers or pool suppliers and getting PH - or PH + corrective additives plus a few cheap PH tester strips.

The correct PH of water cooling fluids should be between PH 6 to 8 , 7 being perfect.

Was about to say about being ph neutral. But then i read mayhems comment above. I never though that ph made a difference to the clarity of the liquid i just knew that if you drink 1 or 14 your gonna be in trouble

Some dyes have a very narrow range in PH terms, some other have a larger one.

There are many more factors involved how ever im just trying to keep it simple.
