Which way would you go and why?

I will be able to afford it but CAS rating isn't important with Z97 so with that in mind which way would you go Cheers :)

Well the 16 GB kit is 2400 MHz with good timings... while the 32 GB kit is rated for 1600 MHz

Why would you need so much RAM? Are you going to use memory intensive programs?

No its just because I can the Gaming Dragon will go really good with the Z97 Gaming 9 M/B whereas the Blitz will still go with it but just not quite the same and I can't get the 1866 Gaming Dragon here and importing it is a bitch and expensive to boot

Well...

Is the one in the signature your current PC ?

If you are "upgrading" that to a z97 setup you're doing e nonsense thing

I wouldn't go either way because I find the pulsating lights of Avexir irritating and I think they look a bit cheap compared with other more expensive stuff, I guess that's fair if they are going to work with your build. Anyway i'd choose 16GB 2400C10 over 32GB 1600C9 because the capacity is overkill either way and the timings of the 2400 kit are still tight enough.

I could still get 32 of the 2400 just so all the slots are full as this will be the last time I will be able to buy new components for quite awhile afterwards, I just wish they did higher speced Gaming Dragon and that I could get it here

Go 2 kits of the 2x8gb gigs route, bandwitdh>cas with the newer intel chipsets. I vividly remember Tom making a big deal about this in a video and I never forgot it.

Yes I watched that video too so I sent an email to Avexir to see if I can get higher spec gaming dragon anywhere and if not I will go the 2400 ram

Neither one. Are you mad? $270 for 16GB? Mine is rated at 2133MHz 9-11-11-31 and i paid half.

Mate shit in Australia is EXPENSIVE we pay more than double for example for a video game than the rest of the world, the cpu is $400 and M/B is $395 and the Video card is $579 each as im getting 290x's and there is no point buying from overseas as the postage kills you eg an adapter that costs $35au overseas cost $45au to post so no point I may as well pay the $60 for it here.

I feel your pain bro.PCCG has the monopoly on watercooling gear, they're the only one's with a large enough range to be able to get all the bits and pieces you need. And the only places you get a half decent deal on hardware is places like MSY, ARC and to a lesser extent PCCG and Mwave everyone else is a rip off merchant.

Central Coast
P.S Just saw some reviews of CPL Don't use them as they have many horror stories, I won't be going anywhere near them now even though they are the only store with the 290x's that I want
