Which water block?

Hi there,

I am upgrading my loop and am torn between the ek supremecy plexi and the xspc raystorm. Which one would you go with? It will be cooling a 3570k. Or should I go with a cheaper block all together like the ek supreme?


Any suggestions will be much apppreciated.

I'd say go for the Raystorm because it's by far the best looking block out there.

Also, I've heard some horror stories with EK

Really makes next to no difference. I always buy what I like the look of / works best with the rig.

I would go for the ek one, because it's much cheaper and has almost the same cooling performance.

i´d go for the raystorm... it looks really nice with a couple of led´s in the sides

I have a raystorm it's a very nice looking block, the black plate will detach if you desperately need to customise it. It's very well built easy to fit.. that's just my 2 cents

EK did used to be epic but after the nickel saga and now the god awful designs I dont think Id willingly spend my own money on their kit atm.

Maybe when they bring out the next gen Id have a look but there is loads of other brands out there now, why risk it.

Are you refering to EK's latest GPU blocks? The blocky square ones? Have to admit I don't really like those either

GPU? I would prefer the heatkiller in front of the EKs I don't like the ring design of EK.

id go Raystorm for the CPU. many options use go when using the Raystorm.
color LED acrylic, full metal retention mount, full-on chrome plating. looks to
kill with would be the Raystorm.
