Which case

I have a new(ish) i7 build with a 950 and two 460s in SLI. For cooling reasons I'm using the bottom PCI-E slot of my P6X58D-E. Which cases will this fit in - bearing in mind the cooler of the bottom GC now overhangs the motherboard? I was thinking of the FT-02, but I'm not sure it will fit, otherwise maybe a HAF X?

first off you will want the graphics card in the second slot to make the most out of it, cooling wise i have mine side by side and temps have never reached 70 degrees and thats with them overclocked, if your still after a case you will probably need to go for any case that has 9 expansion slots, so as you said the haf x not sure what else there is, there is a new xigmatek case the elysium which looks promising

Yeah, a lot of people have said that to me about the cards not getting too warm, but for some reason my top card is getting to over 80c when its in the next slot. I've swapped them around to make sure it's not an issue with one of the cards but they both behave the same. It would also seem that the 8x slot doesn't slow the 1GB 460's down, as I've benched it with them in the two x16 slots and with one in the x8 slot and there was no difference in frame rates. The other thing is that I need one of the PCI slots for my X-Fi card with its front plate. I'd buy a new x1 PCI-E sound card, but no-one seems to make a decent one with a proper 5.25" fron break-out any longer.

Thermaltake released the new Level 10 gt case for $280 now, you could look into that case.

I personally think, that case is way overpriced and not that good at all.

You may want to look into getting a NZXT Phantom, Bitfenix Colossus, Cooler Master 690II Advanced, Xigmatek Utgard etc. For the price of the Thermaltake you could get a great Lian Li full tower case, their cases are incredibly amazing

The level 10 is an overpriced assortment of biscuit tins.

What's so good about lian-li? It's a boring black monolith, what features does it actually have? (yeah great for modding but THE PRICE, WTF!)

Lian li are made out of ally and are amazing build quality, if you have one you will never buy anything different

try looking at the lancool too tho just a cheap lian li

Well Lian Li cases are all aluminum, which is great for many reasons. (Overall cooling, durability, weigth just to name a few). They are like a nice white canvas, if you are a modder. The build quality is unlike anything I have ever seen on any case. Everything in those cases has a purpose and on most the layout is very well thought out. But those features may not appeal to everyone..., some may prefer different

some people like a chav case.....i prefer a merc

The lan cools are good tho especially the power coated internal ones

HEM berk in a merc AHEM! (joking) I prefer cases that do their job, look okay, but don't cost a fortune, coz at the end of the day a case will not boost your fps

You should make a burberry chav case!

Ft02 won't work I have one, haf will though. Good case good airflow to the video cards, Amy case that has 8 or more pcie slots will work.

Sound card: Creative Fatality Champion. Has a 3.5" adapter.
