Which case to pick?

Hello good people of OC3D forums!

In the near future I am planning to build a nice gaming machine, although I haven't decided what components to pick.

First of all it would be wise to decide what case to choose. And thats fairly big problem.

I've browsed through many, many sites looking for one that looks good and has fair amount of nice n' usefull features. Unfortunately though I haven't found any. Except for one that is.

Fractal design ARC midi tower. I just love the esthetics of this case. Not too fancy and not too simple. Perfect balance. Great ventilation. And it's relatively cheap.

Unfortunately though, there is one thing i don't like about it. It's front bezel which is made out of plastic. As I have been told, front dust filter can accumulate quite alot of dust, and in order to clean it, you need to remove whole bezel + fans (which are attached by plastic "clips" thingie). And thats the whole problem. Although the plastic might be sturdy, it may break one day. And I wouldn't like it to happen.

So here it is, my 1st topic, where I'd like to ask you if you know some nice cases. I'd like it to have good ventilation, dust filters on the intakes, nice esthetics and not too much plastic. it would also be nice if it had a window, since it's gonna stand on top of my desk.

I'd appreciate any help you could provide

Fractal Arc Midi is an awesome case. You don't need to remove the bezel to clean the dust out, you can just vacuum the dust out with no problems at all, but yeah it does accumulate large amounts of dust in the front filter in no time at all, but that's fine with me as it shows how much dust it's stopping from going inside the case. Also, to me the plastic felt pretty sturdy tbh, and as i said before there's no need to remove it as you can vacuum the dust out

the tj07 has no plastic, pretty good ventilation, a window but no dust filters.

Raven RV02 is supposed to have excellent ventilation, excellent dust filters, a window and being a silverstone case very solid.

RV03 is very similar

Thanks alot for replies

Funny thing, just a few minutes after creating this post I stumbled upon PAX video where you can see the newest corsair case, Vengeance C70.

I think i fell in love with it, haha. All steel, tons of ventilation, has a nice window and very unique look.

Anyways, thanks alot Petrol for the information, it's good to hear you can vacuum the dust out without taking off the whole bezel.

Hah, now I have 2 cases to choose from

insane ventilation capabilities

i have some red mesh dust filters(easy little mod needs cleaning once a month)

you can either mod yourself a window or you can buy a window model 922

have it for 2 years and its a beast of a case imho :3

I don't like the look of it. To be perfectly honest with you I can't remember any CM case that I'd like. Except for cosmos maybe.

I would suggest bitfenix raider.

I won one in a contest and I realy like it.despite few disadvantages which are now solved by modding it , it has many advantages. very slick look , great ventilation , not much plastic, plenty of room behind the mobo tray , all around black cables , stock fan controller (for 5 fans), low price etc. it's a great case and I can't realy understand why it's not very popular.

edit: forgot to mention the 4 usb 3s , rubber grommets around the mobo tray holes , rubber stands for the psu , 3 quality fans etc...

+1 Fractal Design Arc Midi.

Although the front panel is plastic but it is very sturdy. Dont think it will break unless you purposely hit it with rock.

As mentioned before, you can easily use vacuum cleaner to clean the dust accumulate at the front panel.

The only complaint I have is the side panel has a 180mm fan opening without any filter cover on it.

THanks alot for all the replies

I think eventually I'll jsut have to wait till corsair released their newest case, vengeance c70. If it's gonna be as awesome as it looks, then I guess it will be the case of my choice.
