Hi Guys,

I am in a bit of a bind here as I have been looking all over for windows 7 HP and windows 8.0 ISO's. I have found a few on torrent sites such as kickass and TPB, though I am not sure whether or not they are trustworthy, as I havent used those kind of sites before and would prefer not to. So would anyone happen to know how I can get them?

I have tried downloading the Windows 7 HP ISO's from digitalriver, however there seems to be some issues...

Windows 7 HP x86 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58996.iso
Windows 7 HP x64 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58997.iso

To get Windows 8, run the following app, and select, install later, it will then let you create either an ISO or USB installer

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/create-reset-refresh-media

***Note***

All links above are legal download, as long as there is not attempt to bypass the activation process or keys posted along with them.

***EDIT***

What issues are you getting from digital river? These are MSDN links that are still active (but will be killed off later this year as microsoft is moving to a new hosting system for the downloads). All the above Windows 7 links are for SP1 editions of the ISO installation media.

Basically when I download from digital river it doesn't download the file completely, while I will end up able to open the ISO it would be corrupted. A lot of other people are having the same problem and every single answer from the Microsoft reps were pointless. They didnt even try to help resolve their issues.

Also I was looking for windows 8.0, as my key cannot be used for 8.1, I already tried the one you linked before and unfortunately it only offers 8.1. Thanks anyways. If there are any other alternatives please let me know. Extremely annoying the MS is making it so hard, dont see why I bothered paying for the licences.

If you are using USB media to install, download the ISO, open it, and then copy the contents to a USB drive.

Once this has completed, open a command prompt with Admin priviledges, and type in the following.

x:
cd boot
bootsect.exe /nt51 x: /mbr

This will then install the boot loader on the USB drive to allow it to boot up.

As for Windows 8,

http://care.dlservice.microsoft.com...ISE_EVAL_EN-US-HRM_CENA_X64FREE_EN-US_DV5.ISO

This is the enterprise version, all you can do here is remove the EI.CFG or the equivalent cfg file from in the sources directory to enable you to select the version of Windows 8 you would like to install.

thanks for the ISO link :) Also I have tried extracting it like you said, however unfortunately it always says extraction failed. I used PowerISO

Just tried it, same problem :( Thanks for the suggestion guys. Should I just take the risk and grab one of TPB or something?

Have sent you an inbox with advise on torrents and what to look out for, won't post it on here, as it a AIO which violates microsfts terms where the disk image is concerned as it is a composite version with latest updates in it, but the the info is a trusted thing for me as I use the Windows 7 version of it regularly (from a different sources though that the public trackers).
