Whats A really cool CPU Temp Monitoring program FREE

Hey Guys, I was wondering what is the best free cpu monitoring program.

I already have CPUID HWMonitor, then downloaded a new one off of GURU 3D that I really like called "CORE TEMP" which has the overheat alarms/shut down options, and a really cool gadget that sits on the desktop. But it does have one issue, It is reading my i950 as a i930, Which makes me distrust it a bit.

So any other programs for free that have the over heat control options and maybe a gadget that sits on the desktop?

The gadget itself is the Intel Core Series – Sidebar Gadget.

I personally use HWMonitor as it seems the most accurate to me. I sometimes check the temps on AI Suite II, just to compare the temps and they tend to be similar.

i have been thinking about writing one...

it will work on any_vendor chip(s), with any number of cores.

it will be able to be run on the desktop (normal), via a gadget, or via the notification area.

Use Rainmeter, it's like windows sidebar (lol) but much better. There are loads of ways you can customise it and make it how you want it, of course there are things like temperature monitors, weather monitors and it's very light so it doesn't eat up ram.

Yeah definitely, seriously looks brilliant. Has a kind of Dues Ex: HR look to it with the font and black/orange.

Will somebody plz think of the Speedfan !

I've been using this for over a year and swear by it. And now with 4.45 beta2, Speedfan has support for all AMD/ATI gpus. WOOT !

I use SpeedFan as well. It's great for automatically adjusting fan speeds.

Hmm maybe iv'e not set it up correctly but when I minimise to windows it all disappears till I hit the icon in my task bar.
