Whats a good TV series to start watching?

True Blood does get better as it goes along I think it's not till the fifth ep that it starts picking up but when it does, it gets really good.
 
Just finished watching The Event... was a great show! Shame it got dropped

I would highly reccomend a series called The Colony i remember seeing it while i was visiting in USA and just a few weeks ago remembered the name and watched the full series on tinternet! Here's a link for the description PM for the actual video links!
 
I recently started watching ALIAS, the first season is pretty slow but the second season, the one i'm watching now, gets better as it goes along. It's a little dated but it's not bad, if you haven't seen it it's worth a watch. Also, Jennifer Garner is the main character so even when one of the episodes is a bit slow there is still something interesting to watch

Game of thrones, the walking dead, dexter, boardwalk empire, sopranos, spartacus and breaking bad. Probably more good ones but these are the ones i can think of right now :-)

I didnt like it. Each episode is pretty much a stand-alone episode. You can watch it without seeing any of the prior ones as the plot development ans linkage is sooooo slow. And i know they deal with unrealistic situations.. but the fact that the one guy always manages to solve the case from his basement lab because he used to work on something 14 years ago really irritates me =/

It's soo good isn't it!? The script is so well written. I think it's in episode 7 but the Sylvester Stallone impression part had me howling. Some good one liners.

Also I don't think it's been mentioned yet but Wire in the blood is a good older series with Robson Green, i'd definitely recommend that i recently watched through the entire box set again.

I watched all of Alias a few years ago... Quite liked it.

Story gets away from itself a little towards the end but still good.

That's the best series I've watched in a long time, of course the unnecessary nudity was most welcome. Watching some old waking the dead and "V" season 2 atm.
