What would you do?

Hi All,

A couple of weeks ago, I was set on getting a 3930K and an ASUS Rampage IV mobo and a GTX680 as the startings of my new rig but then the GTX690 came out

I had a thoughts that I may go to the IB 3770K and the money saves could go towards the extra £400 for the GTX690.

So my questions are - can anyone recommend a good mobo for the IB 3770k? Also - would you stick with the 3930K, Rampage and 680 set up or forfit them to get the 690?

Decisions decisions ...

well i just bought a 3930k, a rampage IV extreme and a GTX680, i will add a second 680 later.

my reason for not switching was i do a lot of photoshop work so the extra 2 cores are helpful, plus i want to OC and the new chips don't appear to be as good for that.

finally have two cards over one gives me better cooling options.

If you are just gaming you will only need a 3570k dude so that will save you quite a bit. Many of the z77 boards are excellent but if I had to choose one I'd pick the msi gd65.

Still not getting why people are snapping up the 6xx series - they are so overpriced at the moment.

It's certainly a juggling act.

What monitor(s) are you using ? (that'd probably settle things a bit easier)

+1 on the need for such a cpu also.
