What sound card?

Auzentech X-Fi Prelude if you're a gamer, hands down.

If you're a music or movie buff then the X-Plosion or X-Meridian are definitely the cards you want to be checking out.

Auzentech i reckons :)

Creative drivers/support ftl

Auzentech = Creative drivers.

That being said, Auzentech get better answers from Creative with issues, kinda like u buying a Creative card via an agent.

I`d get the Auzentech for just that reason. Any issues I`ve had installing them has had a fix & result on the Auzentech site. Even for problems Creative cards have, but they haven`t identified.

Ok i'll prolly order a auzentech card along with the speakers.. Read the OC3D review, looks good :)

I'll be running this with the Z-2300

I cant fault my Creative X-Fi XtremeMusic running along side my Logitech Z-5500's, it has never let me down apart from popping out the PCI slot from time to time due to it being an awkward fit for some reason.

Other than that its been 'sound' :p :D

lol that was a poor joke hyper, I agree my xtreme Gamer has been find for me apart from not liking my Meds; but sorted that now.

Just a question on this topic of sound cards (so that will not open another thread if I may).

I myself have to decide on whether to buy the Asus Xonar or the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude.

Could someone help me pls.

Brooksie... personally, I have had no problem with Creative drivers. But I guess I am running Server(XP).

I am running an Xtreme Gamer.. and I have to say, WOW! :)

I'd purchase the Auzentech personally. The Xonar has issues, some of which are:

* It runs quite hot

* It has some wavering output volume issues

* The Xonar utilises above average CPU resources depending on audio format

I'd be happy to review it and compare if ASUS can get me a Xonar
