Right, i want to upgrade my computer.

But im not sure if i should sell my whole computer, or upgrade parts and sell the components i dont need.

And also, how much do u think i could sell it for?

My specs are as followed.

You'll probably get a little more for the components if you sell them seperately and keeing hold of things liek your 200gb hard disk will probably save you a reasonable amount of money over buying a new one.

I think half the answer can come from u`rself - what r u looking to improve ? Just cpu, cpu+gfx, improved load times, bus speeds, memory inc etc

Well, i want to go duel core, Buy the DX10, buy some decent ram and a new mobo which can support it.

well, im not going to upgrade yet, im keeping an eye out for when i do, which will be next year sometime.

Yea i was thinking of buying an X2 mainly because my mobo supports iy, buy i was hopeing to join the conroe side, as it name my last name in the title :D

Danroe - conroe :P

But seroiusly i think that conroe are alot better than AMDs X2 at the moment.

Not sure if I'm the only one who didn't get that 1 :eh:

Anyway, with regards to upgrading. I normally wait until there is a game out that I want to play smoothly or on better gfx, then I look at what components are letting me down and look for a bargain upgrade.

But, looking at your settings I'd wait until DX10 cards come down a bit next year, then sell your rig either as a whole or in parts (depending on how much extra £££ you need from the rig) and treat yourself to a brand spanking new rig :D

Dan - I have only upgraded because I was running on a sempron. Do I need to say more? Less than 30 fps with all settings low bites. I would say upgrade to dx10 when you want to take advantage of dx10 games and vista - if you get it and stop borrowing other people's os disk :p and upgrade the rest once programs and games get really sluggish :wavey: oh yea hi dan :flames:
