What ram should i choose

[font=arial,helvetica,sans-serif]Hi fellow forum members, i'm at a point of my build where i need to choose the RAM i'm going to use, and have a budget of £100/£150 to buy 16gb. As i feel this will be more than enough for what i need as i'm only going to be web browsing, gaming (bf3) and also have started to get interested in music production i.e sampling, editing. my rig spec are as below:

Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V Deluxe

Graphics Card Asus ENGTX580 1.5GB (Under consideration)

Memory 16GB (Under consideration)

Cooling Corsair H100 with Noctua NF-F12

Power Supply Corsair AX850 in a Corsair 600T white case

Sound Card On Board with Diamond LM-1.0 Speakers

Monitor LG D2342 and a LG CH10LS28.AUAR combo drive

mushkin ridgeback @ aria - £120- looks awesome with the aluminium heatsinks, no crappy plastic, life time warranty and depending on the kit you get you will might get a decent overclock on it as well

i like the CAS 8-8-8-24 Timings of this and the price isn't to bad, so my next question is which is the best brand to go for?

Ruthless' RAM he has linked is fantastic. My personal favourite RAM manufacturer is Muskhin, but Corsair, Kingston and G.Skill are also awesome, Crucial and Geil are good picks too. Just don't opt for some cheap ass RAM and you should be fine, but the set posted above is great

Corsair and Mushkin are both awesome, but you see corsair ram everywhere... + the Mushkin stuff looks nicer and is higher quality imo. i would have bought a Mushkin SSD but no money lol. The mushkin stuff is really classy imo

I want to know where people are getting that custom white and black mushkin ridgeback ram people are getting.. Seen loads of vids with it, and i REALLY want it for my rig.. think TTL gave it to strawbs.. But ive seen it in other rigs apart from his - i swear!

i think there were only 4 sets of actual white RAM made, the 3 winners got them. TTL kept one set, gave it to strawbs and gave some white ridgeback heatsinks to someone on the forums... cant remember who

I wonder if I contacted Muskin directly if they'd make me the heatsinks... I could just change them with some standard ridge back then.. Worth a shot, Doubt they will but I've got nothing to loose aye?

perhaps consider this samsung ram. cheap, good quality, good overclocking potential.
