what mouse are you using?

just ordered this.....

£29.95+VAT x 1 - Razer DiamondBack Magma 1600dpi Gaming Mouse (KB-005-RA)

had an ms inteli mouse but it kept turning itself off. Not very good mid-frag....

I've got a MX510 here, along with about 10 different MS mice, and a MX1000. I dont like the MX1000 very much, its very big even for my hands, and although it is accurate, its "laggy" in games. The 510 is the best mouse I've got, although I hate the wire, but then there has to be a comprimise.

hmm alot of people seem to choose the mx 5xx cos it has better ergonomics. although its still pricey.

i'v decided to get the mx518 when it comes out:)

When is the mx518 released?

Does your mouse really make much of a difference I've only got a 'creative optical mouse 3000' would I notice much difference if I switched to a better mouse?

Having a good mouse makes a big difference in games. I've had the usual run of the mill optical mouses before and I didn't think these gaming mouses where any different. Until I bought one thats is, I have the Raptor M-1 gaming mouse. It really is more responsive and smoother and combined with the rest of the gear in our setups it really helps to get that extra edge in games.

mx700 - love it, im ever having a wire again!

@wingz -mine did the same, all the paint flaked off - i emailed logitech, and they sent me a brand new mx700 to replace the old one!

I might get myseld a wireless keyboard and mouse combo although I love the look of my current aluminium keyboard (matches my case :) ).

With these wireless devices how often do you have to charge them up?

well i got my wirless logitech desktop mx set well over a year ago (mx700 mouse and logitech fancy pants keyboard), i game a lot but in that time frame iv only changed the batteries in my keyboard twice (it takes 2x AA's), and one of those was after a couple of months in which i attended 4 lan parties ;) The batteries really last ages! the mx700 i only recharge once a day - as out of habit i always put it back in the charger before I go to bed :D
