What is the best possible SSD

Hi, I am about to order parts for a new rig, and I was wondering, price not being a factor, what is the best performing SSD on the market?

Last time I checked Samsung 840 Pro's we're the best you could get.

Intel, samsung and crucial are considered the best performing and most reliable on the market.

I would recommend a samsung evo series ssd personally

As long as you get a solid brand they'll be reliable. Going off the read/write specs gives you a good idea of which are the best.

Intel SSDs may be good as they're so expensive, but I don't know anybody with them and I wouldn't waste the money.

Next SSD I'll be buying will most likely be Corsair Force GS ones, they seem pretty awesome, and aren't much more expensive than most others.

Two Samsung 840 pro's 512 gb in raid O will give you the best performance of anything out there...The next in line would be Corsair Neutrons...I think so.

been rocking my Kingston Hyper X 3K's for a tad over a year now no issues at all great bang for buck.

3 x Samsung 840 Pro's in Raid 0 (yes, 3!!)

Any above 240Gb would give the best performance.

3 x 512Mb Pros if money was no object, but tbh 3 x 256Gb would be the sweet spot and what I'd buy if it was my cash.

this, basically in short you'll only notice differences in seconds (not many) and maybe even milliseconds between load times, installation maybe a little faster or slower but you'll be fine with anything samsung, intel, kingston and corsair.

I'm personally eagle eyeing the 840 and evo series from samsung, if they manufacture the NAND themselves they're usually the best to go with!

Hey that's not a bad shout, they're not too commonly used yet, but they can offer read/write speeds about double SATA III SSDs. The only ones I've heard of are OCZ Revodrives, and Asus RAIDR drives. I think they're still not well enough established for me to get one, but I'm looking forward to them becoming more mainstream in the future.

In terms of samsung ssds, don't go for the basic ones and you're on to a winner. Imo their pro ssds are the best you can get, fast and reliable.
