I have read some of the reviews on here but am undecided on which mouse to buy.

It has to be cordless, and preferably laser, all comments welcome.

Main contender is the Logitech G7.

The two big contenders in my book are the Logitech G7 and the MX Revolution. The G7 is a little bit older but a great mouse from what i have read. It is leaned more toward gaming and the only bad things i have heard is the lack of a forward button for browsing the web and the battery life being somewhat short. The Revolution is the newest and sexiest but doesn't have weights and such that the G7 comes with. The Revolution is very comfortable on the hand and to the eye. The only bad thing I have heard about it is that it sometimes comes out of the exact scrolling mode at random times.

I hope that was some help.

Couldn't have said it any better myself. Ares also has most of this information seeing as he is in the market for the same mouse specs. QFT.

If you really want cordless and dont mind changing/charging batteries then the G7 is your best bet because it is basically a G5 without weights and the braided cable..

Jason.

If its not for gaming then i'd be tempted to go for the Microsoft Intellimouse - the one I had took 2xAA batteries and lasted between 1-2 months.

Cordless Mouse- G7

I saw the MX Revolution and thought it'd get annoying if you accidetanlly set off the fast scroll, the G7 is a nice mouse. For me it was between the 518 and the G7, thanks to the price, the G7 lost.

The G7 doesn't come with weights, mine didn't anyway. I've found the G7 to be a most comfortable and able mouse, even with the lack of additional weights.

Looks like the G7 is winning so far, thanks for all the input./

I will make my decision tomorrow after reading a few reviews on the revolution.:)

i just returned my revolution mx, it was a great mouse, nice looking, light, good feel to it, sensitive etc, but that clutch think is actually well annoying, and that search button doesnt work properly, and the go backwards and forwards buttons werent sensitive enough

i changed to mx1000 and its great

The word that stuck out in that paragraph for me was light. A lot of people who game and such like there mouses to have a little bit of weight to them.

Just something to think about :D

poses the question do i go for G5 and save some dosh or plump straight for the G7. Razor look good but Kempez's last comment sways me to logitech.

Decision time tonight.:yumyum:

tried to reply from work but it wouldnt let me.

I think i am going to go for the G7 as i want it cordless, I want a mouse suitable for gaming but as i am still only an opportunistic gamer, (have wife will nag) I think the cordless will be ok.

Thanks for all the comments guys I am now going to see if they sell them on ST. and compare prices. :p
