What GTX 680 to choose!?

I just can't decide

EVGA GTX 680 [Homepage]

And

MSI GTX 680 [Homepage]

I have the option to pre-order those. But I can't decide which one.

MSI is the most expensive one and EVGA the cheapest one.

MSI: 742 dollars

EVGA: 690 dollars

The MSI looks more solid, and known for great cooling and all that, but EVGA is soo tempting with their good price on their card! What to do? (IMO The MSI looks best in my black scheme case)

Please let me know what you think

So bad at decision making.

Both are identical reference coolers. That extra $52 for the MSI is just for different stickers basically, so go for the EVGA.

What PetrolHead247 said, EVGA, also for the lifetime warranty and their step up program. Their warranty also covers removing the cooler which is good if you ever plan on watercooling it.

Why? The only reason I see to wait is if you want more than 2GB of memory or a pre-overclocked card. Reference is quiet and cool already (Based on TTL's review).

What... are you saying cooling cant get better, and quieter? Also better overclockability from companies like evga adding more power phases and better bin chips.

No, not at all. But you could pick up a reference card now and have 3rd party cooling options later too. With the cooling on this reference card though, the only way I would change it is to watercool it and I'm not even sure I want to do that anymore. We'll see though once folding works and summer temps hit.

Personally it would be EVGA for me, reference PCB's can have aftermarket air coolers fitted and watercooled without to much issue if needs be in the future, so I wouldn't personally wait for non reference designs. Aswell Tom commented in his review on how quiet the reference cooler was so I wouldn't personally bother for the after market editions, as the stock cooler seems to do a reasonable job. The reason I would go with EVGA over MSI is they have great warranty and customer support.
