sup dudes. just a random question what car do you drive and if you dont have a car is your personal method of transport a motorbike scooter bicycle.

i have a 2010 vw scirocco 1.4 tsi in pearl black. i love the crap out of it but flip is it hard on petrol. ive got it down to 12 mpg my mates type r doesnt even go that low. and its a type R for flipsake. its fairly quick and agile. and im so glad we had that cash for clunkers scheme going on when the vat was 15% as it made the car affordable. so its a great car to listen to and for long journeys as its smooth and low revs when sitting at 70-80. who is next

Toyota Yaris 1.3. Best I could afford with high insurance premiums.

I drive to work 5 days a week. 60 miles per day, 300 miles per week. It just about gets through the week on a full tank, which is about 40 - 45 quid.

Hi,

Daily driver: 2004 Ford Focus 1.8 TDCi 115ps - tweaked a little
smile.gif
Can happily average over 60mpg (UK) on my daily 54 mile commute round-trip (varied driving, no motorway or dual carriageway) yet still gives 230 ft/lbs from 1,800rpm when needed. Nice. Was a total lemon when I got it though...had well over £2,000 spent on it (warranty) a futher ~£600 by me (tweaks and mechanical repairs) - yet was under £4,000 at purchase!

Weekend fun: Subaru Impreza RB5 - tweaked a little bit more. Bit of a WIP due to turbo fault so over 50bhp down on peak power - though mid-range is spot on.

Does not get 60mpg...or 50, or 40, or 30... *sigh* lol

Those RB5s are gorgeous. Where do you get it serviced and have work done on it? I know of a fantastic place...

I only I have a Peugeot 106...

The car i drive in the weekend for shows and etc is a Lotus Seven series 4 from 1971 so one if the original lotus cars not a copy.

The next project is a Chrysler/Talbot Sunbeam Ti from 1979. The plan is to build it into a rally car but there is a ton of hours in that car before it is done.

1994 Chevy silverado 2500 14 street and 19 highway. And when i put the pedal to the medal you can see the gas gauge drop before you eyes. Oh and its $97 to fill from empty, was $108 a few months ago.

$108 is nothing compared to what we pay here in Denmark.

It will set you back $175 if you fill this bad boy up with 98 oktan gas.

Yep, love it - had it since new

I take it to Subaru4You in Newbury...in fact they do all the work on it these days (well, servicing and mods, it's not broken or anything - other than the turbo issue at the mo, but that might just be adjustment) Now they've got a rolling road too it helps with mapping...

I've always liked the 106, great little cars. I actually looked at getting a Peugeot as a 2nd car years ago, but settled on a little Mazda 323F (1989 model) that was 10 years old when I got it in '99 and it lasted me 7 years of fairly high mileage. Changed that for an old Audi A4 ('95 one of the first A4's) kept that for 2 and a bit years and part-ex'd it for my Focus. Oh, I also had a BMW 3 Series Convertible as well as a Nissan Pickup in the time - yes, I ran three cars for a little while...down to just the two now

God I wouldn't mind an R8 GT

In Britain it's what, £1.30/litre, though I'm fairly out of the way, so it's probably more in London.

Damn thats a pretty nice truck, i couldnt go with red around these parts. Deer park as a 1 cop to 45 people ratio... Red would literally be me bending over and telling them to get me

Thats not that bad man, i have a 27 gallon tank with my 4.2l v6, i average 12mpg and i do not EVER get on it... I baby my truck as i tend to be ocd about the condition of my things... So im always 5mph under the speed limit. 157.31 is what i cost me to fill up about two months ago.

Little v6 in a 6500pd curb weight truck pretty much does it. (Dont get me wrong my truck will get up and go when it wants to, but as the same in your case... My gas gauge pretty much says "Nom nom nom" on the read out.)
