im looking for a monitor with 120hz and would like your comments on this monitor or if not this one a better one thanks alot guys

I just got my VG248QE 144hz in today. I knew it would be a good boost from a standard monitor. But the results of actually using it have me stunned. i paid 299$ for it. I will never. ever. never ever be using a 60hz monitor again. If you're in europe i think these go for 300 pounds. i hear 27 inches is a bit much for 1080p

Yer I did think that but I have looked at the 2 the one u have and the one I was thinking of and my one has better rating and a better review out of the 2 I really am stuck on what to do

Depends what GPU you have and if it can handle 2560x1440 game play.

If it cant then it will be a bit wasted

You plan on using 3D or not ?

Also, i have a 27 inch 1080p monitor and the Size/Res ratio is damn good.

Um yer I am going to if it is there if u no what I mean
It does not have to have it but I really like the look of vg278h but I keep reading that there good but not great as there is ghosting and bleeding

I have an iiyama prolite g2773hs-gb1(120Hz non 3D) monitor and i love it. Since im not a 3D fan (gives me headache).

Its a great monitor, a no need to turn on vsync below 120fps.

Ever tried a plasma? I've seen 600Hz TVs for ~£400 - but the catch is it's only 720p, I believe (the one I saw anyway).

The Asus is amazing, I went to get a headphones from yoyotech the other day and they had it there connected to a water-cooled beastly system, playing BF3 with constant 120fps on that monitor was very pleasing for the eye.. However, I ended up going for BenQ XL2411T and never looked back.... I always knew about the difference between 120 and 60 Hz, and to be honest I was still using my old CRT until these monitors came out and managed to get an LG 120HZ monitor that my brother is using now... It really depends if you are mainly gaming on your rig, if you are a casual gamer I would say IPS with low latency could be a better choice since the picture quality is just million times better compared to 120Hz TN's..
And the size/resolution imho isn't bad at all, 27" 1080p

Those things predict and insert artificial frames and it will not get more than 60hz from a GPU in a computer. If u watch a 3D DVD it will insert an extra ten or so frames between flashes, but will not game past 60hz.
